Odds are the fastest way to read a matchup: who's the favorite, by how much, and how the market feels as fight night approaches. Here's how to read them — and how mma-score keeps them honest by comparing bookmakers side by side.

Decimal vs American

The same probability, two notations:

  • Decimal (1.66) — your total return per unit staked. Bet 10, get 16.60 back if it hits. Below 2.00 = favorite, above = underdog.
  • American (-152 / +130) — negative numbers are the favorite: -152 means you must stake 152 to win 100. Positive numbers are the underdog: +130 means a 100 stake wins 130.

In mma-score you choose once, in My Account → Odds format: Auto (by region), Decimal (1.66) or American (-152). Every screen — fight pages, widgets, comparator — follows your choice.

Compare bookmakers, don't trust one

On every fight page, mma-score lists the odds of multiple bookmakers for the same matchup, updated in real time — including during the event. Two bookmakers rarely agree exactly; seeing them side by side shows you the real consensus and the outliers.

Bookmakers from your region are shown first. If you're outside the United States, you can additionally enable US odds in My Account to also see the lines of US bookmakers, tagged (US).

Read the history, not just the snapshot

The line the day of the fight rarely matches the line at announcement. The comparator includes an odds history: current odds, first odds, 1 week ago, 1 hour ago, down to 5 minutes ago. A favorite that drifted from 1.45 to 1.75 tells a story — injuries, weight-cut rumors, sharp money.
